BLL Picture Day
Below is the photo schedule for team and individual photos on June 2nd

The order form can be downloaded from the documents section of our website (click here). There will also be copies of the order form available on picture day.
Coaches- We understand that you are eager to get to the field for your are a few things that will help the day go as smooth as possible.
- Please encourage the parents to have their order form filled out prior to arriving...there is a limited supply of table space, clipboards, etc...having 20-30 parents all trying to fill out order forms at the same time slows down the process more than anything else.

-It is very important that all teams are photographed....the team photographs are put on a plaque and given to your sponsor as a thank you....if no photo is taken we can not provide a plaque to your sponsor.

-All photos will be taken near the batting cages. You will need to bring your team to that area for photos.
-Please tell your players to get in line and get their individual photo taken as soon as they arrive at the field. They don't have to wait for the entire team to get there for individuals.
-Once you have your entire team ready for the team photo, please let one of the photographers know and we will get your team photo done as quick as possible.

Post Season Play Info

To All Branford Little League Players and Parents,

Players from the Majors, AAA and AA divisions are offered the opportunity to play in a post season tournament. These tournaments are held during the last week in June and run into mid to late July. Depending on the success of the All Star teams, it could continue into early August.  While everyone is invited to play, players must be a Branford Resident and it does not ensure that every player will be placed on a team. It does require a commitment from the players (and family) to be available to play in these tournaments. There is also a $50 tournament fee for each player who participates on any of these teams.

1)    All Stars – If we have enough players we will have a 10 yr. old, 11 yr. old and a 12 yr. old team. These teams will be picked through a combination of votes by players and coaches.  A total commitment is needed from the last 2 weeks of June until the middle of July, with the possibly of playing till the end of July. Rosters for these teams are limited and if a player is removed for another player the original player may not return to the team. If you commit to All Stars and are chosen to play, this team must be the player’s top priority. To be eligible to play in All-Stars a player must have participated in at least 60% of their season games.

2)    Seabreeze Tournament – Branford also enters teams into the District 4 “Seabreeze” tournament that includes teams from other area towns. This tournament begins the last week in June and would end about the 3rd week in July. This tournament is played in Branford and surrounding towns. There are three age brackets in this Tournament, Coach Pitch, 10U and 12U. A mini draft is held to evenly divide the players.  We do need a commitment from the players, but the rules aren’t quite as strict as All Stars. Missing a game shouldn’t be a problem, but an entire week wouldn’t be fair to the team or others wanting to play.

In order to prepare for post season and all-star voting, if your child will not be able to commit to All Star play, players should contact Don Lawrence by email at by May 24th.

However, we do need players for the Seabreeze teams. So if your child would like to be considered for one of these teams, parents should contact Don Lawrence by email at or Scott Villa at

We do ask that you understand if you say you will be able to play, coaches and other players are counting on everyone to be available for these tournament games

Thank you,

Don Lawrence

Vice President

Major Division Commissioner                                                                                       5.19.18

Easton Bat Decertified by USA Baseball

Dear Little League Parents and Volunteers,

On Thursday, May 3, USA Baseball informed youth organizations, including Little League, that effective immediately, the bat identified as the Easton Ghost X YBB18GX10 30/20 2 5/8" (or the "Easton Ghost X 30/20 5/8" at retail) has been decertified by USA Baseball and is no longer an approved bat under the USABat Standard.
