BLL Looking for Volunteers

BLL is be voting on a new Board for the Spring 2019 season at our board meeting on Monday November 26th.  The meeting is in the Health Room at BHS at 7:00 pm.  Thank you for all who showed interest in a poition.  Please try to attend the meeting.  You are also invited to attend if you are interested in getting involved but can not commit to a board positon.  All are welcome to help.    

Positions we will discuss at the meeting include:

·       Head of Coaching – set the guidelines and required skills to be taught at each level

·       League Commissioners

·       Fundraising Coordinator

·       Concession Stand Manager (potentially paying position)

·       Grant Coordinator – need someone to write grants on behalf of the league

·       Umpire scheduler

·       Field Manager

Congratulations to SCF (Majors), Burton Agency (AAA) and RAB (AA) for being crowned 2018 Champs.  It was a great season for the entire league.  Enjoy the pictures!!!

Branford 8U Seabreeze Tournament Champs

Congratulations to the Branford 8U CP team for winning the Seabreeze Tournament hosted by Hamden LL.  The kids and coaches did a great job!!!

New LL Bat Rules

Parents remember you need a new bat for the 2018 season

Beginning with the 2018 season, non-wood and laminated bats used in the Little League (Majors) and below, Intermediate (50-70) Division, Junior League divisions, and Challenger division shall bear the USA Baseball logo signifying that the bat meets the USABat – USA Baseball’s Youth Bat Performance Standard. All BPF – 1.15 bats will be prohibited beginning with the 2018 season. Additionally, starting in 2018, the bat diameter shall not exceed 2⅝ inches for these divisions of play.
